What’s On Your Desk?
Role: Series Creator, Videographer, Video Editor, Motion Designer
When an internal survey revealed that employees wanted to feel more connected to their colleagues across the globe, I saw an opportunity to solve for that — without defaulting to the usual corporate playbook.
I conceived, created, and launched What's On Your Desk? — a recurring video series living on Sony Music's intranet that spotlights employees worldwide through short-form desk tours. Think MTV Cribs, reimagined for a global workforce. The premise is simple, but the intent is deliberate: give people an unscripted, human window into how their colleagues work and what makes them tick.
I owned the project end-to-end — from creative direction and series identity to filming, producing, and editing every episode. The intro animation was designed to feel like we're literally stepping into the featured employee's world, immersing the viewer into their space before the story unfolds. While the visual identity is rooted in Sony Music branding, that motion treatment gave the series its own personality and sense of place.
To ensure the format could scale globally, I developed a lightweight, UGC-style production framework that made participation easy for employees regardless of location or technical setup — without sacrificing editorial consistency. Over 15 episodes in, with contributors spanning more than 10 regions, the series has grown into an ongoing storytelling platform that brings a more personal dimension to life at Sony Music.
